Cat Speak Privacy Policy
This privacy policy is for the Android app Cat Speak, package name com.catspeak.phrases, published on Google Play by the developer TD Labs.

This policy describes how the Cat Speak app accesses, collects, uses, and shares information. It applies only to Cat Speak. It does not apply to the Knowwebapp website.

Information stored on your device
Cat Speak does not ask you to create an account, and it does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
When you hold to record, the app uses the microphone to capture a short sound. That recording stays in the app’s private storage on your phone. The app uses it on the device to suggest what the sound might mean and, if you save it, to keep it in History. TD Labs does not upload these recordings to its own servers.
The app also stores these items on your phone:
- History you choose to save
- Meanings you teach the app
- How many free Listen translations you have left
- Whether Premium is unlocked on this install
You can remove this information by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling Cat Speak.
Premium purchases
Premium is an optional one-time in-app purchase sold through Google Play. The product id in the app is premium. Google processes the payment. TD Labs does not receive your card number or other payment credentials.
Google Play tells the app whether the purchase succeeded or was restored, so Cat Speak can turn off ads and remove the Listen translation limit. Google’s handling of purchase data is described in Google’s Privacy Policy.
Advertising
The free version of Cat Speak shows ads on the Speak screen only: a banner, an occasional full-screen ad, and a rewarded ad you can choose to watch for more Listen translations. Listen and History do not show ads. Buying Premium removes these ads.
Ads are provided by Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads). AdMob and Google may collect and use the advertising ID, approximate location, app interactions, diagnostics, and device identifiers. That information may be shared with Google. It is used to show and measure ads, for analytics, and for fraud prevention, security, and compliance.
Cat Speak declares the Android advertising ID permission because the Google Mobile Ads SDK uses it. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings. Ad data held by Google is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
Children
Cat Speak is offered as a general-audience app and does not require an account. The app does not ask children to submit a name, email address, or other contact details. Advertising for free users is provided by Google AdMob, as described above.
How information is shared
TD Labs does not sell your personal information.
- Google Play distributes the app and processes Premium purchases.
- Google AdMob serves ads to free users and may collect the ad data described above.
- TD Labs may disclose information if required by law, including a court order.
Security
Recordings and app settings stay on your device. Connections used by Google Play Billing and Google AdMob are encrypted in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
TD Labs may update this Cat Speak privacy policy. The effective date at the top of this page will change when the policy changes. The current version is published at https://knowwebapp.com/cat-speak-privacy-policy/.
